Sports Medicine

What Current Students Say...

I enjoy the labs and real life experience we get by taking this course, and learning about injuries and muscle functions

Vocabulary/terms is a significant challenge in this class

Many students take it if they interested in field or related career, or interested in the topics

Advice to Future Students?

  • It will be very enjoyable if you are interested in the sports or medical fields

  • Pay attention, take notes, do the study guides and practice the vocab

What Else You Should Know...

0.5 credits (one semester)

Students need to select how their Sports Medicine credit will be applied: Life Fitness (counts toward PE credit)  or Science credit (science credit does not count toward graduation requirement)

Co-taught with Athletic Trainer and Science Teacher

On average, students spend less than 1 hour of work outside of class per two days of block; however, some report spending 1-2 hours over that time
