Fascinated by the subject matter - not just Earth, but also the Universe - and fun activities
Many students take Earth Science because they have a career-related interest or interest in the topics
Some common challenges include: vocabulary/terms, understanding abstract concepts, and interest in the topics
Advice to Future Students?
While it is related to Environmental Science, it is completely different!
Even though many things are open note, you need to actually do the work.
What Else You Should Know...
Don’t confuse this with Environmental Science - this course talks about weather, landforms, space, volcanoes/earthquakes and more
Summative Assessments may be traditional or project-based
Learning experiences often have group work components for at least part of the time
Students should bring their curiosity about the world around them, ready to learn about natural Earth and space phenomena as well as design investigations
